ABOUT ME

Within my career as a Creative Arts faculty leader I created a curriculum that at it's heart was contextual learning, a format that enhances critical thinking and leads the leaner to a greater understanding of how, why and when. Within my teaching career I had the privilege to work with many schools, collages and universities creating partnerships that enhanced other departments and also gain huge advantages to both my own staff's career development. I developed a school to school support programme which I ran over many years in a variety of schools across the country. The programme was designed to supported staff student outcomes and was highly effected, with every department seeing a raise in attainment ....some from even 10% pass rate to 100% pass rate. I developed a partnership with Manchester Metropolitan University which enabled undergraduates the opportunity to work and gain experience teaching as part of their degree course. This programme had a two fold impact with many of our students having the opportunity to work with undergraduates was live changing and many went on to become the first ,members of their family to gain a university place. We also developed a community Art gallery that enabled our our students and artists from across the country to display and sell their own products. Dart gallery become another element of our curriculum that enhanced students personal ambition with self worth.
